Everything in this piece is created from slowed down and stretched acoustic instruments, processed field recordings and vintage analogue synths all distorted through tape and tubes. You can hear more of these techniques in the short film ‘Keratin’ which I recently had the pleasure of scoring, due for release in 2021 after a very successful festival run.
My “Fractured Piano” album that I finished a couple of months back is out on digital services now: https://listen.lt/JamesWarburtonFracturedPiano
It’s a collection of fragile piano and string compositions all recorded live at my studio featuring some beautiful violin and cello playing by Katrina Davies, all processed through various tape machines/pedals to break it up and give it some more texture etc

‘Murdertown’ Series 2 is currently on Monday nights 9PM featuring original music by me.
My music for Series 1 and 2 has been released as albums entitled ‘True Crime:Dark Minds’ and ‘True Crime:Dark Deeds’ and are available on Spotify/iTunes etc now.
Found out this week I’ve been chosen for the BFI x BAFTA crew talent development programme 2019/20. Really looking forward to meeting new directors, producers, writers and crew and hopefully working with lots of new people!
I’ve recently been working on the original music ‘Murdertown’ a true-crime documentary series that begins on Monday 3rd Sept at 9PM and runs for 10 weeks.
Really enjoyed working on it and the chance to try out some new production techniques and create a pallete of sounds from scratch.
Pleasure working with the team at EndemolShine as always.
A song I produced and co-wrote has being nominated for a Music and Sound Award.
